Kanvas by Katin actually started out making boat covers until 1957 when an enterprising young surfer, Corky Carroll, commissioned the very first pair of shorts specifically for surfing. This pair features their signature cargo pocket with the original brand label.

Our vintage collection consists of items that have remained part of the tapestry of our collective history and culture. Naturally, these items have all had previous lives.
