The Fall Fade

As we fade into the close of summer, our latest collection leans heavily into some of workwear’s most enduring blueprints, recutting and reworking them in modern fabrications that pay homage to the originals. The starting point is the American hardware store of the 1930s, where these garments were first purchased, worn, tested, repaired, and adapted over the decades, gradually evolving to inform some of the most foundational garments in American dress.

Inspired by the everyday chambray work shirts of the 1950s and ’60s, the Double Deuce Chambray Shirt is woven with a coarser yarn and less-saturated indigo, giving it a lighter appearance closer to the archival references we consistently return to. The Jaspe Hardware Store Jean and Jacket draw from 1930s and ’40s utility sets, both cut from Jaspe Twill, woven from yarn-dyed, two-tone fibers twisted together to create a subtle mélange with natural depth and variation.

Debuting this season in fully raw, sanforized Japanese denim from Kaihara Mills, our Full Saddle returns to denim in its most elemental form, left completely unwashed. The result preserves the texture and character of the cloth while giving the indigo room to develop classic, high-contrast fades unique to the wearer.

The Felted Wool Chore Coat takes that same workwear foundation somewhere slightly more refined, landing between a chore coat and tailoring while retaining the smooth hand, natural drape, and lived-in character of a well-worn sweater. Alongside it, the Cloudloom Carry-On Suit takes the same idea into Ivy-inspired tailoring. Woven in a light-as-air herringbone, the set pairs a packable, unstructured jacket with the Romeo Pant’s relaxed single-pleat leg and easy drawstring waist.

The collection closes with the Rambler Sportsman Jacket, a suede interpretation of a 1941 U.S. Marine Corps utility jacket. Cut in supple steerhide suede with three generous front patch pockets, it retains the straightforward proportions and functional character of its military predecessor while taking on a softer, richer hand.
